The Provincial Grand Master presents a Mark 50 Year Certificate to Frank Sanderson in recognition of his fantastic achievement in the Mark Degree.
On Friday 8th November 2019 Frank Sanderson’s dedicated long service to the Mark Degree was rewarded with a visit from the Provincial Grand Master to present a 50 Year Certificate of Membership from Mark Grand Lodge in London.
Frank was Advanced into Walton Mark Lodge No 1106 on 6th October 1969 and became Worshipful Master in 1978. He was a Founder Member of Stanhope Mark Lodge No 1551 at its Consecration on 29th November 1980 and became the Lodge’s first Worshipful Master. Like Frank, the Lodge is still going today.
Frank’s recent health problems have prevented him from attending his Lodge in Stanhope to receive his Certificate. However Malcolm Maddison, a member of Stanhope Mark Lodge had kindly made the arrangements with Frank and his wife Sheila to welcome the PGM, Denovan Wilson and the Asst. PGM Trevor Lynn, to visit their lovely home in rural Weardale for the Presentation. Also in attendance was Gordon Pybourne, Worshipful Master of Stanhope Mark Lodge.
At the age of 86 Frank still has an excellent memory and enjoyed sharing with his guests some truly memorable events of his outstanding Masonic career. Well done Frank and hopefully you will soon be back in your Lodge very soon.
