The war in Ukraine is currently at the forefront of many people’s minds. Durham Mark Masons are no different and some used an opportunity to help support relief work in Ukraine.
At the Wardens’ Dinner held in March 2022, a basket was circulated in support of humanitarian relief for Ukraine via the Mark Emergency Relief Fund. The generosity of those attending was amply illustrated by the total collection of £262.
In addition, it had been decided by the Provincial Grand Master, Prof Denovan Keith Wilson and the Chairman of the Province of Durham Mark Benevolent Fund, David Hanson, that a donation of £2,000 should be made by our Benevolent Fund.
The Provincial Grand Charity Steward, Roy Neville was attending a seminar at the end of March 2022 at Mark Masons’ Hall. He was able to present the 2 cheques to the Charities Finance Manager, Linda Read, with the very best wishes of the Mark Master Masons of the Province of Durham.
