Mark Centenary Fund receives major boost from Craft

A wonderful gesture by the Craft Benevolent Committee saw a proposition to donate £3000 to the Mark Centenary Fund approved unanimously at its quarterly meeting held at Ferryhill on Saturday, September 14, 2019. Since Roy Neville was in attendance as one of the PGM’s Nominees, he was able to receive the cheque on behalf of Chairman Frank Rankin and to thank the Committee for this very generous donation.

In his short address Roy gave a brief account of the intention to provide a sum of up to £30,000 in matched funding from the Province of Durham Mark Benevolent Fund to add to the Centenary Fund and applications have already been invited from every Mark and RAM Lodge in the Province to nominate a cause or Charity benefiting children and young people to receive a grant of £1000. He went on to say that this donation would go a long way in helping us to achieve our charitable objective and to hold a celebratory event worthy of the occasion.
