How does the Mark become involved in the supply of PPE you may ask.
Grand Lodge is supporting an initiative to provide Provinces, wishing to participate, with a reasonable supply of re-usable full-face visors for onward distribution to those in need locally. This has been made possible thanks to the ingenuity and benevolence of a member of the Mark Province of Kent. The member’s manufacturing business has designed a plastic injection mould capable of producing up to 2,500 visors per week. Our Provincial Grand Master has received a first batch of 100 visors with the hope that more will follow.
David Hanson, Chairman of the Province of Durham Mark Benevolent Fund, undertook the task of organising delivery of the visors. He arranged for 20 visors to go to each of 4 Hospices in our Province and Scarborough Court. The offer of these visors has been enthusiastically welcomed by all the recipients. It is a wonderful example of the Mark working in the community without necessarily any financial commitment.
