Chief of the Builders Mark Lodge and Royal Ark Mariner Lodge No 1806 meet twice per year on Friday morning at Dunston, just south of the River Tyne, the boundary between the Provinces of Durham and Northumberland.
Whist Provincial Grand Lodge Durham units, the main purpose of these Chief of the Builders Lodges is to attract Heads of Orders and other senior members of the Craft and other progressive orders the opportunity to fit Mark and RAM masonry into their busy masonic schedules.
Friday 13th May 2022 proved to be morning when Knights Templar had significant involvement at the annual installation meeting of the RAM Lodge.
John L Webster, Great Herald of Great Priory (past Provincial Treasurer Durham KT) was installed as Worshipful Commander by R Alan Hume, KCT Past Provincial Prior of Northumberland.
Kevin P Stannard and Richard G Scott were then duly appointed and invested as Senior and Junior Deacon of the Lodge, they are the current Provincial Priors of Northumberland and Durham.
To prevent any unlucky visitors on Friday 13th, the Lodge was secured by John D Watts, Sub Prior of Durham KT acting as Guardian.
We look forward to following the neighbouring Provincial Priors working together as they progress towards the Commanders chair of their Royal Ark Mariner Lodge.
